Coastal Land Design, PLLC (CLD) provides civil engineering to both the public and private sectors. Our projects have allowed us extensive experience in storm water management, erosion control, potable water systems, sanitary sewer systems and roadway design.

Coastal Land Design has been involved in stormwater design and permitting from its inception. We have expertise in the design of all types of stormwater best management practices (BMPs). We also have extensive experience in “innovative” BMP’s with our staff being involved in the early 1995 prototype BMP applications that have led to many of today’s standards. The engineers at CLD also have extensive experience working under EPA Phase II requirements. We stay current on changing rules and regulations and all CLD Engineers have taken and passed the “Certified Stormwater BMP Inspection and Maintenance Professional” course offered by NC State. The staff of Coastal Land Design have extensive experience with most of the commercially available modeling software and a deep understanding behind the background calculations and subsequently, their respective limitations.

Being a full service engineering firm, CLD is recognized by both local and state permitting staff as a leader in utility design. Whether modeling water mains for projected fire flows or pressure force mains and pump stations, CLD staff have the experience and expertise to handle your utility needs.

Project managers oversee the permitting process in order to keep the project moving in a swift and positive direction. Our projects stretch from the coastal flat lands to the mountains, giving us extensive experience in various soil types and conditions as well as radically different topography. We are licensed to provide civil engineering services in North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee, and maintain the latest technology for immediate access to clients in remote locales.
